"What the fuck was that all about?" Lord Scientific asked once Moses and Slim had gone.

"I have no idea, my nigga," Don B said. "Shorty," he addressed Passion. "Is this gonna be a problem?"

"Naw, he ain't doing nothing but flexing," Passion said causally, but it was a boldface lie. She was two seconds away from shitting in her pants because she knew all too well what kind of man Black Moses was.

It was Black Moses who had put the thirst for greatness on her tongue, but she had been born with larceny in her heart. Black Moses had sent Passion to make a drop. She had always felt like she'd run into Black Moses again one day, but she never imagined it would be in Miami.

"Don, maybe we should dump this bitch and avoid a potential problem," Tone suggested.

Don B looked at Passion, whose eyes pleaded not to be kicked out of the VIP. He saw weakness in her, and it excited him. "Fuck it. Let the bitch stay. If the nigga make a stink about it, I'll let Devil get at him."

"Say the word, and I'll put that nigga in the hurt locker," Devil boasted.

"They say those that run afoul of Black Moses turn up missing. Best to let sleeping dogs snooze," a man said, who had appeared at their table as if by magic.

He was dark skinned with long dreadlocks and rocking almost as many jewels as Don B His chain and pinky ring were impressive, but his teeth were what stood out. The top and bottom rows were covered in so many diamonds that it looked like he was chewing crushed ice.

"Diamonds, what's good?" Fast Eddie said, standing to greet him. He held out his hand, but Diamonds ignored him.

"So, you Don B, eh?" Diamonds asked, sizing up the CEO.

"And you must be Diamonds," Don B shot back.

"What gave it away?" Diamonds asked, smiling wide, showing off his grills. "I see there was a lil ruckus over here. My people been taking care of you?"

"That shit wasn’t ‘bout nothing," Passion said.

Diamond turned his cold eyes to her. "I'm pretty sure I wasn’t talking to you; yet, those lips steady moving."

"Diamonds, you so crazy," Passion said, trying to laugh it off.

"Crazy like a fox, Passion. You can't bullshit a bullshitter, baby. I know a trouble tree when I see one, and I trust you been here long enough to know how we deal with troublemakers in Purple City. Best close that impulsive mouth of yours before I have to reconsider your employment status at my joint."

Passion's mouth snapped closed as if someone had smeared glue across her lips.
